My client is looking to recruit a Technical Author for a 3-month contract to assist with a back log of technical paperwork that needs to be cleared.
The company design and manufacture systems for the defence industry and are part of a global group with other locations within the UK.
The main function of the role will be to produce concise and accurate technical documentation from a variety of source information. The role will involve liaising with departments within the business to obtain an understanding of the products and solutions developed for the programme in order to understand the documentation requirements and produce the required supporting technical documentation. They company does have template documents to be used.
- The production of compliance documentation packs
- Identification of products and sub-assemblies
- Gathering information, drawings, documents from relevant SMEs within the business
- Producing relevant block diagrams
The successful candidate will have previous experience in producing documentation of engineering products, as you will need to have some knowledge of environmental, EMC and safety standards.
You will be required to attend site to collect documentation etc, but there is scope for you to work from home if required.
