Marketing, Communications and Digital Content Coordinator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen as part of a collaboration between my client , leading experts in refugee integration and CREME- Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship. My client is a social enterprise specialising in the resettlement of refugees through labour market and social integration, whilst CREME delivers leading-edge expertise on business support for ethnic minority entrepreneurs.
My client was established in 2008 as a social enterprise specialising in the economic, social and civil integration of refugees through accommodation and community-based training support. Their refugee programme is considered outstanding and reflects their commitment to making sure refugees become part of society rather than remaining marginalised and under-employed
The role is a full-time split role working 3 days a week for the Housing assocation and 2 days a week for CREME.

Your role with the Housing association :
The purpose of the Marketing & Communications role is to tell the story and the stories of the individuals my client works with in Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
Using a variety of channels, you will help tell this story with a specific focus on raising awareness of the refugee campaign amongst businesses and other stakeholders.
The Bristol based Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be your line manager, offering coaching and mentoring. However, as she is based at the Bristol head office, you will be expected to work on your own initiative towards organisational goals.
Your role with CREME:
Based in Birmingham Business School at the University of Birmingham, CREME has transformed the 'perceptions' of ethnic minority entrepreneurs by working with business policy-makers and influential organisations to engage collaboratively with overlooked or disregarded business communities.
In supporting CREME's aims of engagement and dissemination, both nationally and internationally, you will use social media and the different channels as a communication tool.
You will develop CREME's social media presence by creating the necessary content, and be the point of contact for advice on social media marketing and communication.
You will sit in the CREME offices and will have the opportunity to work with members of the wider marketing team, especially colleagues in the Business School.
As one of Aston's social media experts, you will advise the marketing team on the best use of these media to achieve organisational aims and know when to alert senior managers to issues that may impact CREME and Aston's reputation.
Social Media planning
- Manage and develop CREME's social media channels and communities, specifically Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Maintain a content calendar with input from the research team and other staff around the University.
- Decide which content is appropriate for which platform according to the audience.
- Keep ahead of social trends and introduce new platforms as appropriate, updating the CREME centre manager and marketing colleagues on their impact.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Officer (Video) on the production of video content.
- Advise and support the CREME team of student Digital Ambassadors on the production of blogs
- Create digital content specifically for these channels to ensure high levels of measurable engagement.
- Work with the Press Officers to develop content from existing media activity.
