Salary up to £28,000

Full time and Permanent working a shift rota of 1 week on early shift, followed by a week of late shifts.

Week 1: 06:10 – 14:10 Monday to Friday.

Week 2: 14:00 – 22:00. 21:00 finish on Friday nights.

Day shift rate is £13.80 with 10% shift allowance = £15.18 ph

Late shift rate is £13.80 with 20% shift allowance = £16.56 ph

Due to Business growth, we have been requested to recruit an Injection Moulding Setter to join our client based in Mere to join their successful Engineering team. 

As an Injection Moulding Setter, the successful candidate will join and be responsible to ensure the seamless operation of manufacturing processes.

Duties will revolve around the technical intricacies of production, requiring close collaboration with operators, materials, and documentation to meet manufacturing plans and performance targets. Beyond this, you’ll undertake preventative maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs to uphold machine efficiency.

The duties and responsibilities will include as follows:

• Interpret and implement manufacturing plans, ensuring machines adhere to specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
• Safely install mould tools and configure machines for precise product fabrication.
• Verify the use of correct materials and stocks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols during machine operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and tools.
• Monitor product quality against customer standards and rectify deviations as needed.
• Ensure the accuracy of manufacturing documentation and machine settings.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to train operators and promote efficient workflows.
• Communicate technical concerns to the Mouldings Manager and address production impacts.
• Provide support to operators to optimize performance and uphold best practices.

 Required Skills and Attributes:

• Possession of a professional qualification in Injection Moulding and Automated systems (Essential)
• Solid grasp of general manufacturing practices and procedures (Essential)
• Technical proficiency in injection moulding machines with practical experience (Desirable)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines (Essential)
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems like MRP (Desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (Essential)
• Capacity to develop and empower focused teams (Essential)
• Commitment to driving performance and continuous improvement (Essential)
• Competence in IT and systems utilization (Desirable)
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety practices (Essential)
