My client is a manufacturer of safety critical components within the automotive industry, part of a global group with locations throughout the world. They work with many of the large OEM's within the automotive industry throughout the world, and are looking to recruit a UK Sales Manager to join their operation based in Wiltshire.

The main function within the role will be to lead my client's commercial activities with all customers and provide cost estimates and pricing guidance for products. Within the role you will manage a small team, and report directly into the site Director.

The main duties will be:

* To be the primary point of contact between my client and its customers in all commercial matters, and the main representative of my client in all business dealings at Customers
* Manage the development of the annual sales budget, maintenance of the sales forecast and 5-year plan. Monitor sales against budget and investigate variances and report movements in monthly reports
* Acquire new profitable business by presenting to your customers, generating enquiries, obtaining costs and establishing market prices and preparing and submitting quotations in a timely manner
* Manage the provision of cost estimates and prepare business case justification for all new and existing business.
* Liaise with Project Managers in order to support a smooth new product introduction to your customers
* Investigate and follow up opportunities for selling new products to existing customers and existing products to new customers.

Skills/Experience Required

* Must have extensive experience at presenting company presentations at a senior level within Automotive OEM's
* Must be organised and structured in their work, ensuring clear documentation of activities
* Must be able to work independently, developing Customer strategies and presenting them for discussion and approval
* Demonstrable experience in Sales within the Automotive Supply Industry
* Skilled negotiator with proven track record

The role will be based onsite at my clients site in Wiltshire, and you must live/be willing to relocate within a 35 mile radius for the role.
