Front End Developer

Our client, a leading organisation near Swindon is looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis to support their ongoing digital strategy.
You will be working in the digital team, using your experience to create world class website experiences, with involvement from initial scoping through to user testing. This position is perfect for you, if you are looking to take your next career step, are passionatedriven and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Delivering high quality web projects
  • Developing front end HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Support evaluation, estimation and planning of development requirements
  • Driving adoption of continuous improvement within the team
  • UAT and quality control
Required Skills / Experience
  • HTML / CSS 3 / JavaScript / jQuery
  • Experienced user of CSS Pre-processors e.g. Sass or Less
  • A portfolio of previous work
  • Creation of reusable components
  • Excellent working knowledge of Umbraco or similar CMS
  • Use of responsive frameworks e.g. Bootstrap
  • Excellent understanding of UI and graphic design tools/principles
Desired Skills / Experience
  • Knowledge of CSS naming conventions (BEM/SMACSS or similar)
  • Mobile first web development
  • Application of front end frameworks
  • Understanding of wire-framing tools and practices
  • Creation of front end templating languages
  • Front end performance optimisation best practices
  • Knowledge of task runners
