Metering Services Manager - Chippenham - Full Time & Permanent 

Salary: £40000-£48000 + excellent benefits

Reporting into the Customer Services Director, this is a newly created role providing expert knowledge within Metering Services, whilst working in close partnership with colleagues across the Customer Services department and the rest of the business. It will support delivery on our customer promises and achieving team and business targets.

Key duties:

  • You will be a strong leader who can support and develop the teams to deliver to their full potential and exceed customers’ expectations. Working to improve service, knowledge and confidence within the teams you’ll be a role model and business expert for your teams to look up to. 
  • Working closely with the settlements team to ensure key priority activities are completed on time to give maximum benefit to settlements performance 
  • Analyse Industry E2E processes, ensuring best practice and excellent customer experience 
  • Review Industry change documents and follow through change request proposals to ensure compliance 
  • Production of frequent reports and dashboards 

The successful candidate will be have demonstrable experience of building strong relationships across teams, you’ll be an engaging and motivational leader with success of managing, coaching and inspiring an operational team ideally within the utilities industry. You’ll be positive, confident, personable and have experience of industry data management and settlements. Previous process improvement, mapping and documenting experience is desirable for this role. Other key requirements are:
  • A proven track record in leading or managing an Industry Operations team
  • Expert knowledge of the Energy Industry and its operations
  • Experience of Industry Data Management and Settlements
  • Confident in building strong relationships across the teams to support buy in and deliver good performance.
  • Ability to motivate others to deliver against conflicting and changing priorities
  • Excellent documentation skills
