Author of “Super Teams” Clinton Wingrove, spoke passionately about the need for respect in the workplace to build great teams. Work to analyse the characteristics of excellent teams demonstrates that respect is crucial. RESPECT has seven easy to implement elements: Recognition, Empowerment, Supportive feedback, Partnering, Expectations, Consideration and Trust.
He mentioned the English Football team’s recent success in the World Cup and speculated that the respectful management style of Gareth Southgate could be the key to success.
